Our Return Policy

Products Returns:

We will gladly refund purchases returned in original packaging with a receipt within 30 days of purchase. Refunds will be issued in the same form of tender with which the product was purchased. Goods returned opened or without a receipt can not be refunded.

Livestock Purchase & Return Policy:

Do your Research:

* Choose livestock carefully, check with your landlord,family members ,do your research on the animal, ask questions before you purchase. This process will reduce possible returns and impulse purchase.

* The responsibility of the animal’s health and wellbeing is always with the care giver. Be responsible and know how to care for your animal, we are here to help of course.

Age:

* You must be 18 years of age or accompanied by your parent/guardian for all other pets.

Right of Refusal:

* Aves Canada reserves the right to refuse the sale of livestock for any reason.

Livestock Return:

Purpose:

* The purpose of the return policy is to immediately relive a customer the responsibilities of caring for the newly acquired pet. The purpose is not to refund your full purchase price. Returning pets for full purchase price encourages impulse & non-researched buys.

* We strongly suggest researching any animal before purchasing to avoid any impulse purchases and possible returns. Repetitive re-homing of animals causes undo stress on the animals. Stress reduces the animals feeding/drinking responses as well as it’s immunity, which may lead to health issues for the animal.

Time Frame:

* Within 7 days of purchase with conditional monetary penalties.

* Anytime, with zero monetary considerations.

Conditions:

* Returned in healthy condition.

Re-Homing Fees:

* Re-homing charges of 50% of the purchase price .

* Purchase price of $99.99 or more, & special orders, – A re-homing charge of 75% of purchase price.

* All refunds are a 12 month in store credit, or gift card.

* Pets sold on a contract will supersede this policy.

* You may surrender the animal, and not pay the re-homing fees.

Non returnable:

* As noted on sales slip.

In-Store Shopping

Are you open for in-store shopping?

Yes we are! We are open for in-store shopping Tuesdays-Saturdays from 11am-6pm. Our store is located at 7171 Torbram Road Unit #18 Mississauga, Ontario.

Do you sell live birds in-store as well?

We do sell all types of birds in store. To check out what we currently have in stock, refer to our "stock list" section on our home page.

Can I return a product purchased in-store?

Yes! If you're not satisfied with your product, You may come into the store with proof of purchase (receipt) and exchange for a different product. Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds in-store. Any perishable products that have been opened, or products that have been used or damaged, are not eligible for exchanges.

Online Orders and Shipping

How long does shipping typically take?

Depending on where your located, and if there's any delays with the couriers, once the order has been packed and processed, domestic shipping takes 1-6 business days, whereas international shipping takes 3-7 business days

How long does it take for my order to be processed?

Orders placed for an in-stock item are typically packed and processed the same day, based on whether or not it is a high traffic work day in shop. Any orders placed on Sunday, or Monday, would be respectfully packed and processed the Tuesday.

What shipping companies do you use?

We proudly use Canada Post, Canpar, Purolator, FedEx, and UPS shipping services.

Do you ship birds?

We only ship a large quantity of birds via air freight. For quantity sizing, shipping costs estimates, and any other livestock shipping inquiries, give us a call at +1 905-953-6500 or email us at info@avescanada.com.

Products

What if I place an order on an item that's out of stock?

If you place an order on an item that is out of stock, we will contact you promptly via call or email, letting you know that the item is out of stock and offer you a full refund. If the product will be back in stock in a short time, we can hold your order until we receive the product, then send it to you promptly at your request.

Do you get products from outside of Canada as well?

Yes! We receive products domestically, but also internationally from areas like the U.S and Europe.

Can I return a product?

If you received a product you are not satisfied with, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order. If you contact us after this period, any returns or refunds are entirely at the discretion of Aves Canada's. Any perishable products that have been opened, or products that have been used or damaged, are not eligible for refunds or exchanges.

Do you have sales or discounts often?

We do! Our current products on sale can be found on the "sale" section at the top of the home page.

Purchasing a Bird

Do I need to bring a pre-paid cage into the shop when purchasing a bird?

We provide travel boxes for purchased birds to be placed in when traveling home, however you are more than welcomed to bring your own cage from home, or purchase a cage in shop. If you are traveling a long distance, we do recommend bringing/purchasing a cage with food and water equipped for long haul journeys.

How do I know what birds are in stock at the moment?

You can keep updated with our current birds in stock through our current stock list section through our home page. Additionally, you can sign up for our newsletter found on our home page to receive our monthly bird stock lists.

Can I put a bird on hold?

All pre-purchased birds and products can be placed on a hold for 24 hours. If the customer fails to purchase during this time, we will remove the hold. If the bird or product is purchased, we will hold the bird or product until the customer comes to the shop for pick up.

Are your birds ready to take home the same day?

It depends. Most of our birds are available for same-day takeaway, however, if your interested in our handfed birds that are still being hand fed, we must finish the hand feeding process and can only sell when our birds are successfully eating on their own.

Do your birds include supplies?

Unfortunately, our birds do not include supplies, those purchases are done separately.
