NEKTON-Biotin supports the smooth moulting process and feather regeneration. NEKTON-Biotin gives the bird smooth and shiny plumage. The majority of feather damage occurring in avian husbandry is exclusively due to nutritional deficiencies. Since feathers are composed of protein, a particularly rich and balanced protein diet is essential for the development of a flawless plumage. For a functioning metabolism, the daily feed must contain sufficient vitamins, minerals, and trace elements. A large proportion of bird losses that occur during moulting are due to insufficient or unbalanced protein intake and/or insufficient vitamin and mineral intake. The composition of NEKTON-Biotin explicitly takes into account and compensates for the unfavorable ratio of amino acids in most plant-based feeds. No other multivitamin supplement should be administered while taking NEKTON-Biotin . NEKTON-Biotin is cold-water soluble and can easily be administered via drinking water or soft food. The bird breaks down the protein ingested with the food into its individual protein building blocks (amino acids) in its gastrointestinal tract, which it then uses to build its own body's own proteins, which it also needs for feather formation.
Feeding recommendation
1 g NEKTON biotin to 250 ml water or 100 g soft food.
It is recommended to prepare only as much drinking water/soft food as the bird consumes daily and to change the water/food daily.
One level measuring spoon (enclosed) corresponds to 1 g of NEKTON biotin.
In cases of severe feather damage, double or triple the dose of NEKTON Biotin can be given initially until the beginning of feather regrowth is visible. After that, the normal dose is given until feather regrowth is fully complete.
Due to its higher content of vitamin D and trace elements compared to complete feed, this supplementary feed may only be fed to birds up to 5% of their daily ration.
